Welcome to my new home! In saying this, there are so many things that come to mind when I say “new home”. First, I welcome you to my new blog which is a carry-over of my previous blog (techievangelism.blogspot.com) but now more focused on anything and everything I find online that is both worth writing about by me and worth clicking by you (hopefully). And yes, I finally bought a domain (www.jonasdelosreyes.com) which points to this blog.
Secondly, “new home” for me now means the sights and sounds of Singapore! I just moved here 3 weeks ago with my wife and it’s been a great adventure for us adjusting to the new place (it’s right-hand drive here so look to your right first before crossing the street, hehehe). I’ll see if I can chronicle my stay here but it’s been fun learning and getting to know my way around here, and I continue to look forward to discovering the many exciting things the city has to offer.
Finally, “new home” means a new job for me. As I mentioned in the Yahoo! Philippines Answers blog,
“I was recently hired to be Yahoo!’s Community Manager for the Philippines and it’s simply a thrilling experience to represent Yahoo! and be part of the team that makes sure that services like Yahoo! Groups, Yahoo! Answers and Flickr continue to empower Pinoys and help us grow a meaningful and responsible Pinoy online community.”
I certainly look forward to blogging more and keeping connected to those who know me and be connected with those who I may not have met yet but may share similar intestests with me. So to everyone, again welcome to my new home and I hope you stick around.
