About

Mabuhay!

Welcome to my home online. This is my way of staying connected to people I know and to be connected to those who I may not know yet but may share similar interests with me. I am a Filipino Internet professional who is into anything and everything tech-related, primarily internet marketing, social media, community management, e-commerce, Powerpoint presentations and all things purple. :) Also, I’m an avid Superman fan, a long time “Digger”, and an erratic blogger who is trying to break old habits.

Why “meet jonas”?

It’s a tip of the hat to one of my inspirations in presenting, Mr. Scott Schwertly. His winning presentation, Meet Henry, has been an eye opener and was instrumental in raising my standards in communicating effectively. I hope this blog will do the same in that it will be helpful, entertaining and informative to everyone who takes the time to read it.

  1. Hi Jonas!

    Congratulations on your new job!

You don’t know me but I am fan hoping to follow in your footsteps some day. If you don’t mind, I wish to ask you a few questions about your company and industry through email.

    More power!

    Thanks a bunch!

  2. thanks for sharing this.

  3. @Aimee – Thanks so much for saying that. :) As discussed in my email, no problem with the questions.

@kakuei – Thanks as well Kakuei! I just checked your blog and you’re here pala sa Singapore. Maybe we should meet up sometime. :)

  4. Hey Jon! We’ve been friends for so long but guess what… i don’t have your email address (sheesh!) But since you’re very popular now, with a fan base (include me on your fans club) you are very searchable on the web (yehey!… i mean yahoo!) Congratulations on everything new in your life (new job, new address, new cellphone number, new wife – hi Mrs T.D!, new civil status, new website etc) Oh! Belated happy birthday (fellow fans, greet the birthday boy) and let me be the first to greet you… happy father’s day (have a feeling that great blessing will happen within the year). Send me an email, i will fully utilize your message board (lol). God bless!

  5. Thanks for the message Beth! And thank you for the birthday greeting. :) Feel free to drop by anytime, hehehe! God bless too! :)

  6. DEAR Jonas ,
The Internet has transformed how we communicate with the public, but there are still many challenges in making information easy to find. Since you cover web 2.0 in Tech Evangelist, I thought you might be interested in a study that my nonprofit published this summer about how people find information online. The study covers three groups: non-profit organizations and cities; web designers and firms; and the general public.
The study was fascinating on a number of levels, and I invite you to read the executive summary or download a PDF of the findings at http://www.idea.org/find-information.html .
The survey results sparked ideas about tools we could provide that might make finding information online easier. This fall, we will start beta testing a cool new new navigational tool. I don’t have your email, so if you are interested, you can sign up for our beta here: http://www.spicynodes.org/ or to stay abreast of our (very) occasional new projects, you can get our newsletter here: http://www.idea.org/newsletter.html
    Thanks,
    Michael
